Europe’s Moral Awakening

In times of humanitarian crisis it always comes down to morality. The existing rules and laws may not be able to keep pace with an unstable situation that is unravelling too fast to get a hold of it. We are left with our first-aid kit: our sense of moral rectitude. In the face of waves of migrants and refugees pouring into Europe, we are mainly confronted with one question: What is our moral responsibility towards the newcomers?
